ADOPTED 07-07-12 – Duke arrived at our German shepherd rescue via an owner turn in, it seems the condo association where they vacation said that duke did not fit their size rules. The owners obviously made the wrong decision and kept the condo instead of this wonderful animal. I will never understand why some people think that these special creatures are expendable merchandise, the more I am around people the more I like dogs. Enough of my venting, duke is an absolutely gorgeous, 90 pound , male, sable, 3 years old, fully vetted, neutered, registered, German shepherd dog. This boy is a classic German shepherd, extremely loyal, tremendously intelligent, a bond unique to the breed, strong character and a protective instinct that is strong but always under control. To date duke has reflected a personality that is very friendly, warm, laid back and happy, I believe he is content just to be with his person.
SABLE*** NEUTERED***FULLY VETTED***GOOD WITH PEOPLE***GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS***LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED
Duke has been evaluated with other dogs, small and large, individually and in groups, with absolutely no problems. We have also checked this boy with small children and he just adores them, constantly seeking their attention. Duke is also leash, house and basic command trained, he is used to being inside and has no separation issues. Basically duke, in my opinion, is about as perfect as they can get.
Should your family be seeking a new family member do not miss this opportunity, the duke’s are few and far between.
