ADOPTED 01-28-13 – TIFFANY’s nature is true to her breed because she is remarkably good with children. Not all dogs are safe to have around children. However, labs have show that they love them and protect them. In fact, labs are like security systems. Even better yet, they do what a security system can not…they can let you know when the mail is arriving or when someone pulls into your driveway.

Labs are can grow and be a larger sized dog; however, their size does not match their personality because they are actually big babies.  TIFFANY is loving, loyal, and more. She listens well, and learns quickly, and she has her own individual personalities!

TIFFANY is sweet lil’ thing that was found abandoned at an apartment complex in Memphis, TN.  She is about 7-8 months and is very outgoing and friendly.  TIFFANY is much like a little kid, she loves to play and have fun. She wants and need attention, and she smiles. Yes, she actually can SMILE, and she does, often. Those that know her have described her as a true sweetie pie.  TIFFANY deserves someone who will love her and never abandon her again.

TIFFANY is a black lab and has shown us that even though she was abandoned, she is very sweet and caring. One awesome character of the black lab breed is to know when you don’t feel well; she will stay by your side, that describes her and labs are just that way. When you ask a lab to sit, they will; when you train them to shake you’ll only have to show them one or two times.

WE HAVE A VIDEO OF TIFFANY SO YOU CAN SEE HOW SWEET SHE IS:   VIDEO

Teaching a lab a new trick or to simply obey is very simple. You simply talk to them, and show them. Labs only need to be shown a couple of times. They learn quickly, listen well and once a Lab knows what to do or what not to do they remain loyal.

Labs are not temperamental at all. Any dog will react in certain circumstances, such as someone touching their food or their face. Labs are not likely to bite. Labs are most likely to do nothing however; they may lick your hand repeatedly giving you kisses.

Of all of the breeds of dogs that families are considering TIFFANY ranks at the top on the list of “the best” for family pets. She is loving and very loyal, will protect her family, your children, and be faithfully. She listens well, this does include potty training. If you treat her well she will be the best pets you’ve ever had. She will interact well with your children so long as your children are taught to interact well with her.

Since she is still a young puppy, is in great health, spayed, and up-to-date on her shots. We will love for her future home to continue with socialization and training. If you are a hero and don’t know it, TIFFANY will let you know that you are hers.  Thank you for considering this sweet girl as your new family member.

PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO CHECK OUT THE SECTION BELOW

RDVG wants to provide you with as much information as we can because some of our mix breeds you might not be familiar with. The below section on “About the Breed” offers information on some of the Breed Characteristics, Children & Pets, Behavior and Personality, Temperament and more.

It is important to point out that in addition to the breed, there is an enormous variety in the way a dog acts and reacts to the world around him. In the end, your dog’s preferences and personality are as individual as you are–and if you can accept that– then you’re bound to enjoy each other.

Children & Pets

Animal Behavior Guidelines

Many children, especially very young ones, do not realize that pets are living animals and not toys. Failing to teach a child how to handle pets properly can result in suffering on the part of the pet and, in some cases, injury to the child. Taking introductions slowly will allow you to introduce family dogs and your children safely

Puppy Behavior, Growth & Development

Each stage of Puppy Growth and development is fascinating; by the time it reaches its first birthday a puppy is considered a mature, adult dog. Puppy Growth rate is fast compared to humans, just compare a puppy of 8 weeks to a baby of the same age.

One of the most common questions asked about a puppy’s growth and development rate refers to the eventual size of the puppy. How big will the puppy grow? How can you determine the adult size of a puppy? A young puppy is tiny and cute – everyone loves puppies! But will the puppy be suited to your environment? How much exercise will be required for a full grown dog? Will the puppy be a suitable pet for children? The breed of the puppy will determine the answers to these questions. A general response to the size and growth rate of a puppy and the adult size of a puppy is therefore not possible – it needs to be specific to the puppy’s breed.
