ADOPTED 11-17-12 – Working in the dog rescue business the term surprise usually means something bad but in the case of our new girl, Mimi, it is very much a positive thing. This beautiful little girl was surrendered to us through a shelter in Mississippi that knew we specialized in German shepherds. The pictures we received reflected an absolutely knock down gorgeous female German shepherd, the surprise up receipt was that she is grown (3 years), fully developed in all aspects and the smallest German shepherd I have ever encountered, 40 pounds of pure cute . Mimi appears to be a true long haired, red and black, female German shepherd that is healthy in all aspects but extremely petite. What our girl lacks in size she more than makes up in personality, affection, intelligence and the demeanor of a princess. Mimi came to us very scared after her ordeal of being abandoned but after she saw that she was safe with us and that we loved her, she has come right around. Watching her retrieve a tennis!
RED AND LACK LONG HAIR COAT***SPAYED***FULLY VETTED***GREAT WITH PEOPLE***GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS***LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED
Ball is a riot, to her it is like throwing a soccer ball to a full size shepherd but make no mistake she will return with the ball. Mimi has no idea that she is small; she still embraces all things German shepherd, loyalty, friendliness, intelligence, bonding and the normal protective instinct.
Mimi has passed all of our evaluations and has revealed nothing in the terms of any tendency for bad behavior. She is good with other dogs, people of any age and size, is house trained, good on a leash and knows her basic commands. There is no way to be around Mimi for more than a few seconds and not fall head over heels in love!
