ADOPTED 11-17-12 – Our rescue has recently been blessed with the receipt of an absolutely gorgeous young man Named Jake. Jake Is a Male German shepherd Pup approximately 15 Months Old Snow White and about 95 Pounds of Feet. Ears and Overall Perfection! This Boy Loves People Other Dogs Attention And Food. What More Could A Prospective New Owner Possibly Desire. Jake Has Shown That He Possesses All The Characteristics Of The Breed. Intellect. Desire. Playfulness. And Strength. Loving Nature. Strong Bond and a Strong But In Control Protective Instinct. Though Our Boy Is Going To Be A K-9 Horse. He Is As Gentle As They Come With Everything He Encounters But He Is Especially So With Children. Jake Will Play With Anything That Moves. Balls. Frisbees. Other Dogs. People. Volkswagens And Small Trucks. He Is Just A Truly Happy Dog

Jake Has Successfully Completed All Of Our Socialization And Training Programs. Taking To The Lease. House And Basic Command Training As Though He Were Born With The Skills. As With All Of Our Dogs Jake Has Been Socialized With Other Dogs And People In Individual. Small Group And Large Group Scenarios. We Also Take Great Care In Exposing Our Wards To Small Children In Various Environments. As Previously Stated Jake Excelled. As A Trainer I Can Truthfully Say That I Would Have No Problem With This Very Special Guy Being In My Home At Any Time

Puppy Behavior, Growth & Development

Each stage of Puppy Growth and development is fascinating; by the time it reaches its first birthday a puppy is considered a mature, adult dog. Puppy Growth rate is fast compared to humans, just compare a puppy of 8 weeks to a baby of the same age.

One of the most common questions asked about a puppy’s growth and development rate refers to the eventual size of the puppy. How big will the puppy grow? How can you determine the adult size of a puppy? A young puppy is tiny and cute – everyone loves puppies! But will the puppy be suited to your environment? How much exercise will be required for a full grown dog? Will the puppy be a suitable pet for children? The breed of the puppy will determine the answers to these questions. A general response to the size and growth rate of a puppy and the adult size of a puppy is therefore not possible – it needs to be specific to the puppy’s breed.
