ADOPTED 07-14-12 – In the world of animal rescue you encounter many unfathomable human actions of cruelty, none more mind boggling than abandoning an animal to a situation where it’s only option is to die a slow and agonizing death. In the case of Maxx, a beautiful, loving, 5 year old male, German shepherd dog, abandoned in a house as the people moved away, leaving him with no food or water. Thankfully the good lord intervened and allowed a neighbor to find him, 5 days into his ordeal. This good Samaritan then contacted our rescue and we took control of this very special young man, nursing him back to health both physically and emotionally. Maxx has responded well to our program, refusing to give up on himself and people, a depth that I wish I possessed. I have seen many German shepherd dogs come through our rescue over the years but I can truthfully state that none more beautiful have come through.
Maxx is leash, house and basic command trained, passing all of our programs requirement with ease. This boy is great with people, kids and other dogs though he is happiest sitting at the feet of his person being cuddled and receiving genuine love. Should you be looking for a new and very special family member then you should apply immediately for our boy Maxx, they do not come any better!!
