ADOPTED ON 12-20-14 – One of the very special things about animal rescue is the opportunity that you receive to meet animals that have all of the reasons to give up but instead chose not only to survive but excel. A case in point is one of our new graduates, a five month old female German shepherd named Katy. This girl came to us totally hairless, malnourished, weeping sores, parasite infested and totally committed to kicking the hell out of her past life. Ms. Katy got this name because she reminds me of a young lady I know that has also made a decision to face life with this same determination and grit.
BLACK AND TAN MEDIUM LONG COAT***SPAYED***FULLY VETTED***GREAT PERSONALITY***GREAT WITH PEOPLE AND OTHER DOGS***LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED
Katy, as you might expect, has made a full recovery, she is now a very beautiful black and tan medium long coat, 55 pound ball of self-confident puppy. Katy gets along with everybody and everything, always sharing the wonderful joy that only a puppy can bring. As with all German shepherd puppies everything happens at warp speed, so one must have the time and patience to not only handle the situation but embrace the wonderful journey. As with all of our wards Katy has passed all of our rehabilitation, socialization and training programs.
