ADOPTED ON 05-12-23 Our German shepherd rescue is very proud to announce the availability for adoption the awe inspiring “Sir knight “, a 12 month old Belgian Malinois that has been independently trained by our founder. This young man throws all preconceptions about the breed completely out the window, he is scary smart, he is an absolute love with other dogs, adults and especially children and he responds perfectly to all commands. Our boy is walking perfection, perfect gait, perfect symmetry, perfect focus, warp speed unit and plays with control. Knight, as I said earlier, is supremely trained, loves mental game stimulation, loves exercise and has never met a trail he did not like. This guy has probably one of the most beautiful coats that I have ever seen on the breed, it is also a very easy coat to maintain. If this Mal ever has any problems I can assure you that you have a people problem, not a dog problem.

Sir Knight has no real limits in what he is able to accomplish, his only restraint will be how far you are willing to take his training. We have a very detailed and refined socialization and training program, for knight it was just a walk in the park. The programs did reveal the obvious, he has a strong desire to train, he has a very strong desire to bond, he has a very strong affinity for people and he has a very advanced social capability. Knight does carry all of the desirous characteristics of the breed, intelligence, spirit, dedication, loving, patient and of course a strong but in control protective instinct. I have worked with shepherd’s most of my life, including many Belgian Malinois and I have no problem stating this guy is very, very special. By the way I am the founder previously referenced. If you have the time and commitment to continue knight’s development through exercise and training he will make a superior family member.

PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO CHECK OUT THE SECTION BELOW

RDVG wants to provide you with as much information as we can because some of our mix breeds you might not be familiar with. The below section on “About the Breed” offers information on some of the Breed Characteristics, Children & Pets, Behavior and Personality, Temperament and more.

It is important to point out that in addition to the breed, there is an enormous variety in the way a dog acts and reacts to the world around him. In the end, your dog’s preferences and personality are as individual as you are–and if you can accept that– then you’re bound to enjoy each other.

Children & Pets

Animal Behavior Guidelines

Many children, especially very young ones, do not realize that pets are living animals and not toys. Failing to teach a child how to handle pets properly can result in suffering on the part of the pet and, in some cases, injury to the child. Taking introductions slowly will allow you to introduce family dogs and your children safely

Puppy Behavior, Growth & Development

Each stage of Puppy Growth and development is fascinating; by the time it reaches its first birthday a puppy is considered a mature, adult dog. Puppy Growth rate is fast compared to humans, just compare a puppy of 8 weeks to a baby of the same age.

One of the most common questions asked about a puppy’s growth and development rate refers to the eventual size of the puppy. How big will the puppy grow? How can you determine the adult size of a puppy? A young puppy is tiny and cute – everyone loves puppies! But will the puppy be suited to your environment? How much exercise will be required for a full grown dog? Will the puppy be a suitable pet for children? The breed of the puppy will determine the answers to these questions. A general response to the size and growth rate of a puppy and the adult size of a puppy is therefore not possible – it needs to be specific to the puppy’s breed.
