ADOPTED: 03-28-12 – DUKE was matched with an applicant before we were able to post him. Duke is super gentle, great with kids and other dogs, house broken, leash and command trained. We are grateful that he has found a wonderful home.
Duke is very loving and will make a loyal pet. Duke gets along great with small dogs. At first, he did not like a leash, but after a walk he did GREAT! He snores….very cute.
His foster fell in love after watching his video.
He is MUCH cuter in person than in his pictures, please check it out: DUKE VIDEO
He does not love the crate, but will tolerate after a little while; and he does not like to be scolded. He will whine but it is very sweet. Duke will need a home that is looking for a sweet dog that has so much love to give. Duke will do well with any age family with or without kids and dogs. He craves love and attention. We don’t know his rescue story, but think he has always received the love he deserves. He loves running around in our backyard. He chased a family of deer away tonight, but came right back when called.
We have access to lots of dogs that are not posted on our website or are in various stages of the rescue assessment or medical treatment process. All our applications are reviewed and if we have another dog and feel that the applicant is a better match, then we contact the applicant and work with them. If you are serious about adopting a dog, we could work with you the same way.
