Bear entered our rescue through the shelter system in south Alabama where he had been abandoned. This exceptional guy was extremely malnourished, ravaged by a flea allergy and full of parasites including heart worms, all the while keeping a wonderful personality and a strong desire to live. Bear has overcome the effects of malnutrition weighing in at a beautiful 85 pounds, overcome heart worms through successful treatment and is now deemed very healthy by our veterinarian. Through all of this our bear has maintained a wonderful personality, a love for all things human, a unbelievable ability to forgive and an awesome zest for life, a true inspiration for us all. Bear is a classic black and tan color, neutered male, 4-5 years of age, 85 going on 90 pounds, German shepherd dog. This guy has no issues that have shown in his socialization and training program, overall he has excelled.
