ADOPTED 06-15-13 – This wonderful young lady (shadow) came to us via the shelter system, though malnourished, parasite infested and some open sores our girl was absolutely happy to just be alive. The first thing that hits you about shadow is the eyes, happy, loving, warm and accepting, she just reaches out and hugs with all her being. Shadow is a beautiful classic black and tan in color, is about 2 1/2 years in age, will top out at about 70-75 pounds (about 60 pounds now) and has an engaging and warm personality. All, at the rescue think that shadow is very special, she has never had a bad moment, never been depressed, never lost faith in people, something that amazes all of us.

To date shadow has shown a deep love of people and all things human, she is equally happy playing, running, lounging, laying at your feet or watching TV, all is good as long as you are there. Part of our socialization and training program deals with behavior around other dogs in different environments, as we all expected our girl was great with the other dogs basically setting the standard for future dogs. Ms. Shadow totally enamored with her squeak toy, her ball and she lives to play in the water. Shadow will make a great new family member but need to make sure that you have time for her; she wants nothing more than her person so having someone around most of the time would suit her best.
