ADOPTED 08-06-11 – Recently (about 4 weeks ago) our rescue was able to extricate a beautiful German Shepherd from horrendous conditions at a private home in north west Florida. This wonderful animal was close to death both physically and emotionally, having every right to have given up on us humans this girl has chosen to stay wonderfully open and loving. Marrisol has been a blessing to me personally and to our rescue in general, refusing to quit loving and forgiving those in her past. Through this lady I have truly witnessed both unconditional love and the power of forgiveness; something I had almost forgotten how to do after seeing all these abused and abandoned dogs over the years. She is coming into her own now, putting on weight, developing a beautiful coat, winning the battle with parasites and fully recovering from heartworms. The sheer depth of this girl will amaze all who get to know her.

Marrisol is a very intelligent young lady, taking to her training with zeal, understands though she is fully capable of training you if you fail to stay ahead of her. Great with other dogs, enjoys children and even tolerates the occasional cat. This dog will be happiest in a home that lets her be a full member of the family, being with her humans in all activities.
