ADOPTED (S) 03-30-13 – You have to wonder how a dog this sweet could end up at the age of 10 weeks walking alone along a busy road in Memphis. Marq is a sweet boy who loves everyone, especially children. He currently weighs about 60 lbs and is about a year and a half old as of February 2012. Like a typical lab mix, he loves to eat and will gain weight easily if he doesn’t get enough exercise. So a family or single person who will delight in walking or jogging with him would be great.

Marq gets along very well with other pets. He enjoys playing with other dogs and he doesn’t bother cats. He will benefit from having a fenced yard that he can run around in–especially if you already have another dog buddy for him to romp with. Marq is a love bug who enjoys cuddling with people, riding in the car, and taking long walks.

Marq has been bounced around from home to home and is badly in need of a real FURever home. All he is asking is for someone who will love him unconditionally. Really, Marq’s biggest requirement is an adopter who is as loving and loyal as he will be to you. Won’t you please make room in your heart home for this sweetie today?

Each stage of Puppy Growth and development is fascinating; by the time it reaches its first birthday a puppy is considered a mature, adult dog. Puppy Growth rate is fast compared to humans, just compare a puppy of 8 weeks to a baby of the same age.

One of the most common questions asked about a puppy’s growth and development rate refers to the eventual size of the puppy. How big will the puppy grow? How can you determine the adult size of a puppy? A young puppy is tiny and cute – everyone loves puppies! But will the puppy be suited to your environment? How much exercise will be required for a full grown dog? Will the puppy be a suitable pet for children? The breed of the puppy will determine the answers to these questions. A general response to the size and growth rate of a puppy and the adult size of a puppy is therefore not possible – it needs to be specific to the puppy’s breed.
