ADOPTED ON 06-20-14 – Our new ward, John Henry, is the very definition of the finer qualities of the German shepherd breed. He is survivor tough, survivor smart, survivor committed, his will to live has allowed him to overcome a horrendous past that he refuses to let define his life. John Henry totally enjoys life, loving people, loving other dogs, loving his play time; this guy has been an inspiration to all in our rescue – call us smitten. Big John is a classic black and tan GSD, 3-4 years in age, will top out at around 100 pounds though presently he is only 75 pounds, and has a wonderfully open personality and a classic German shepherd protective instinct.
NEUTERED*** BLACK AND TAN MEDIUM COAT ***FULLY VETTED***GREAT WITH PEOPLE
GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS***LEASH, HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED
John Henry has gone through the better part of our rehabilitation program to reach a very healthy state, he has also passed all of our socialization and training programs. At this time our John Henry is at the point that he never meets a stranger and is enamored by all things human, especially children. Of course J.H. is totally at ease on the leash, is very comfortable in the home and is far too smart for just basic commands.
