TD 03-09-13 AVAILABLE WITH DOGS 2nd CHANCE – They say that black dogs and cats have a harder time getting adopted. We hope that’s not the case with Jack. He’s a lovable German Shepherd/Collie mix who is just waiting to go to his forever home. Jack is now one year old and was found as a stray in Memphis, TN, last summer. For the first 6+ months of his life, Jack was kenneled at a local animal clinic until a foster home opened up for him. Despite spending just about half of his life in a kennel, Jack is a friendly and well-socialized dog. He plays well with other dogs and he loves to be around people, kids and cats. This sweet boy needs an active person or family as he is still young and enjoys running/herding, walking and playing. He settles down inside the house and really enjoys being around his humans.
Jack is already house trained. He is up-to-date on his shots and neutered. Jack has a mild deformity of both rear legs. It does NOT hurt him or affect his mobility in anyway. In fact, most people do not notice it. (The vet says this is a genetic condition in which his growth plates didn’t grow properly.) We think it makes him all the more special.
This darling is desperately in need of a loving home where he will get lots of attention and adequate exercise. Do you think you could make room in your heart for Jack? If so, please complete an application for him today!
