ADOPTED (S) 01-11-13 – is almost 2 years old.  She was rescued from a high kill shelter in Memphis, TN while she was very pregnant.  She gave birth to 10 puppies a few days after being rescued from the shelter (5/6/2012).  GERI was a wonderful and loving mother to her pups – even though only 6 were healthy enough to survive.

She is now done taking care of her babies and she is ready to be someone’s baby.   GERI is housetrained, spayed, in excellent health, and up-to-date on her shots.  She gets along with people of all ages as well as other pets.

GERI is very playful and energetic.  She will do great with someone who lives an active lifestyle.  She also bonds very easily with people and has been temperament tested to be a therapy dog or a companion dog.

Due to her energy level and strength, GERI will need an experienced dog owner who can continue to reinforce her obedience training.  Also, GERI has had a couple of bad experiences with other dogs in the past – so, even though she plays well with most dogs, we prefer for her to be the only dog in her forever home.
