Our top cop (Copper ) generates the same attraction from the k-9 ( and human ) world for he is truly a unique character. Playful but subdued, smart but goofy, loving but mischievous, cuddle but conceited, a charmer but sneaky in other words a true character “. This very special girl comes from a severe background of neglect where he was one of twenty three Nova Scotia duck tolling retrievers rescued from an outdoor puppy mill in Mississippi. From day one Copper reflected a strong will to live, an amazing inner strength and an inability to quit or give up on herself. She has been, I believe, a major reason that we have been able to pull all of these dogs through this ordeal. She has been a rock!

Copper genuinely loves other dogs, all people and a few good cats, as long as they all meet her standards of quality. This bundle of all things good loves long sits in your lap, walks at his designated pace, play time with his paw picked friends and all meals on time. Top cop has the ability to see your soul, she will know when you are frightened, when you are ill, when you are happy and definitely when you are vulnerable to letting him coax you into giving him more treats than normal. All things said Copper is a once in a life time find of fun and joy.

Top cop is an adventurer by nature, she loves his car rides, trips to the park, playing in the water, chasing away the ghosts and of course protecting her ” family and their possessions from all the evil doers. There is absolutely no way to keep from smiling when you are around this very special girl.

These dogs deserve all of our attention, and in Rescue Dog Village Guardian, Inc., we are committed to our adopters and our dogs equally. We offer full disclosure and hope to make the best matches possible. Please know our adoption fees never cover our expenses. We rely on the generosity of our adopters and supporters to help us help the dogs.

Our rescue is ONLY in the business of offering FULL DISCLOSURE to adopters, and expects and hopes to engage your questions and concerns fully. We owe it to the dogs we rescue and all the wonderful families/adopters who might consider welcoming our charges into their hearts and home. Our dogs are waiting for that ideal forever home where they will be cherished as deserving family members. Its sad these second chances are even necessary for these dogs, but we are committed to them and will devote the time and energy to their rehoming, and not just MOVE them to save more dogs. We diligently and responsibly seek good matches as we dont want to re-home the dog again. These animals have already endured more than they should have, and through no fault of their own. It behooves us to be honest and forthright, and we appreciate the same in return from applicants. Its that winning combination of reciprocal trust and respect that allows for successful placements to be made. Happy adopters translate to happy dogs, and thats our goal!

If you have never owned a dog before, please submit your application regardless, and we will be in touch with you as soon as possible. Although we are an extremely small rescue group, we understand and respect your familys eagerness to be in touch and learn as much as you can about the dogs you are considering adopting.
