ADOPED 09-10-11 – Cindy is a lovely female German shepherd dog of wondrous depth and ability that unfortunately was given up to be euthanized after her owner died. Our rescue has refused to let her face such a fate and has placed her in our care. This unique, brilliant and loving girl has been a joy to work with and a blessing to anyone that has made contact with her.
Cindy’s was Seeing Eye assistant for her previous owner who was a blind, retired fireman. This dog was totally devoted to her owner and his well being, being abandoned was devastating for her. The strength of her character surfaced as she allowed us to become first her friends and intimately trusted humans that she knew would let no harm come to her. I wish we could say that Cindy was the beneficiary of our rescues’ effort, in truth we gained more understanding of life from her than the other way around.
RED/TAN/BLACK IN COLOR * FULLY VETTED * HIGHLY TRAINED
The person who adopts this glorious girl will have to understand that her time with them will be a true blessing but also an ongoing work of love. Cindy is an older dog of ten plus years and as a result has some signs of light arthritis that will undoubtedly progress. At the present time she is active, playful, loving and graceful, reflecting no outward signs of any issues.
This lady is great with other dogs, wonderful with children and ignores cats. She works well, as you can imagine, on a leash, dealing well with any situation. This highly trained and motivated girl will fit in any environment where she is sincerely loved and allowed to take care of her “family “. If you are looking for a new family member and are lucky enough to adopt Cindy you will find that your life has been greatly enhanced.
