ADOPTED ON 05-06-17: Chanel and her sisters represent another heartbreaking example of the cruel ignorance that exists in some people. The only bright side to so many of these stories is that there are caring people that are willing to help and many of these beautiful dogs continue on to live wonderful lives with wonderful families.
Four adorable black puppies abandoned on the side of a remote back road to fend for themselves. Too many of our stories start this way. Starving, covered in mange, and bloated little bellies due to worms, these girls attempted to eat road kill to ease their hunger pains. Luckily, a passerby was kind enough to call someone she knew to be a rescue worker and inform her of the situation. Patiently waiting until the puppies were trusting enough to be removed from their ditch and taken back to safety, they began their long journey to an ending of happiness.
Today, Chanel is a gorgeous Flat coat Retriever/ Lab mix who has such a sweet spirit and fun-loving personality. She is smart and a quick learner. She picks up routines, rules and commands quickly. This tells us just how smart Chanel is. She loves to play games of keep away with her sisters and lounge in the sun. Chanel is so very friendly and loving and tries to steal all the attention. Chanel would make a wonderful addition to a family where she can run and play all day and snuggle up to her loved ones at night—she is a once on a lifetime find. Will you give Chanel the loving home she so deserves?
