This young man (Capt. Morgan) came to our rescue via a Good Samaritan who found him wandering and very hungry. Overall Capt., a beautiful red and black German shepherd dog, was in pretty good shape except for weight, with his appetite that was fixed quickly. He was a very lucky dog from the stand point that he was not physically abused as far as we can tell. This young fellow (1 year) has a great sense of humor and a true zest for life. Capt. Will play as long as you want to play but will willingly sit quietly at your feet, just happy that you are there. This wonderful animal defines the breed thoroughly with his devotion, strength, intelligence and a highly defined guardian instinct that is under control at all times.

Capt. Morgan is a real treat to have around; he gets along well with other dogs, adores children and will occasionally even tolerate a cat or two. He works well from the leash and has picked up his basic commands with little problem. Along with all of our charges Capt. has been house trained and will use a doggy door.
