ADOPTED 10-13-12 – (male- German shepherd- 15 months-blk/tan) and Rinny came into our rescue along with 3 other German shepherds rescued at the same time from an individual that severely abused the animals, keeping them in a situation that could only be described as a “hell hole”. Unfortunately the three other shepherds were too far gone and ultimately died from the abusive treatment; thankfully we were able to save Braveheart and Rinny. This bio is about our boy Braveheart; our other boy Rinny has his own published bio. Braveheart is a study in will, strength, heart and never quit attitude, he endured unimaginable pain in a leg that had been severely injured 6-8 months previously, he removed the major portion of the infected leg himself and when we found him he was almost dead but refused to give up. Today after successful amputation of the right front leg at the shoulder and a miraculous recovery, Braveheart has no limitations. He runs with the pack, plays endlessly with anyone or anything that will play with him, is totally full of himself and you can see him wondering why all the other dogs need that extra baggage of a fourth leg! Braveheart is absolutely gorgeous both in appearance and spirit, fully representing the definition of the breed.

Braveheart has passed all of our socialization and training programs making him available for immediate placement. Our boy is house, leash and basic command trained, plus he has been checked out with people of all sizes and other dogs both individually and in groups. Braveheart is a very happy dog that will find beauty in any situation, fully enamored with people and especially children; you will find his zest for life quite contagious. This young man gets along well with other dogs but you do not have to worry about him he has no concept of a disability and will hold his own in any situation.

The best word to describe Braveheart is “AMAZING”
