ADOPTIED 02-15-13 – Looking for a medium sized dog who thinks she’s a lap dog? Sissy is your gal! She’s simply adorable and everyone who she comes in contact with falls in love with her sweet face and her awesome personality. Sissy is calm, loving and gentle. She will allow toys to be taken from mouth without any aggression, loves stuffed animals and bones and is learning to fetch. Sissy is between 1 and 2 years old and is about 35 pounds. She’s a terrier/hound mix and has gorgeous brown brindle fur. She comes microchipped and with all her shots. If you have cats, that’s fine. Sissy isn’t bothered by them. She may even bring them one of her toys.

Sissy is the kind of dog who wants to be around people and will sit and chew her bone contently for long periods of time. Children love Sissy and she loves them, however she has not been assessed around very young children or toddlers. A 30 minute walk/run a day suits Sissy fine. She’s not a super high energy dog, but keeps up just fine if you want to take her for longer walks. She loves to run and explore more than fetch and retrieve, which is why she needs to be kept on a leash or in a fenced in yard. She’s working on her skills with other dogs and looks forward to being taken out to socialize more and more. Sissy isn’t a dog who will be happy kept in a crate for long hours. She wants to be around people. So, if you’re looking for the perfect sized dog with a wonderful personality, apply for Sissy!
