ADOPTED – 01-07-12 – I’m Lola. My mom Daisy’s story is one that movies are made of; it tugs at your heart and reminds us of all the good things that dogs do that are a natural part of their personality. It begins with Daisy wandering, alone, starving; it was raining and she saw a yard, knew it was a good place; she laid down and was picked up by a nice lady who saw her, she was a rescue volunteer.

Daisy’ rescue mom was saddened at her condition, could not walk away and was worried about her pups because she was in such bad physical condition. The imprint from a collar was visible, more signs of a life of cruelty; she was thin and weak. Four days later, the volunteer that had been giving her a warm place to sleep and feeding her all the best food,  found a nice surprise waiting for her….Daisy and her three brothers, Scooter, Buster and Buddy.

LOLA is extremely take a look at this short video to see how charming she is!!”
LOLA VIDEO

Lola is best described as having a loving personality with everyone, well just like her mom of course. Her foster mom said she is still so young but she has not found much Lola doesn’t like. Her foster mom smiles when she sees her get in the dog toy box and sit in it till she finds what she wants to play with.

Lola is tan and white and her brothers are black and tan like mom. She is just a puppy and does what puppies do best, eat, sleep, and get more active. She would love to have more room to run and play. So if you can find it in your heart, she could really use a great home. Lola will be 6 weeks old on Wednesday, September 28th and are ready to go to loving forever homes.

Lola’s mom is still with her and will also need a forever home; however, she has been spayed so she will not have to every go through that again she is quiet, doesn’t jump on people, great with kids and other dogs and very calm. If you like to walk she is the best.

Lola’s story started out with the worst possible and almost hopeless beginning but because her mom Daisy stopped in a yard and a volunteer could not walk away, Lola and her brothers will have a life of love and happiness. Will you be the one to adopt Lola and close the story with a happy ending? Maybe someday a movie company will knock on your door and want to meet the wonderful family that could not walk away from a loving dog like Lola. They have a special name for people like that, HERO’S.

PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO CHECK OUT THE SECTION BELOW

RDVG wants to provide you with as much information as we can because some of our mix breeds you might not be familiar with. The below section on “About the Breed” offers information on some of the Breed Characteristics, Children & Pets, Behavior and Personality, Temperament and more.

It is important to point out that in addition to the breed, there is an enormous variety in the way a dog acts and reacts to the world around him. In the end, your dog’s preferences and personality are as individual as you are–and if you can accept that– then you’re bound to enjoy each other.

Children & Pets

Animal Behavior Guidelines

Many children, especially very young ones, do not realize that pets are living animals and not toys. Failing to teach a child how to handle pets properly can result in suffering on the part of the pet and, in some cases, injury to the child. Taking introductions slowly will allow you to introduce family dogs and your children safely

Puppy Behavior, Growth & Development

Each stage of Puppy Growth and development is fascinating; by the time it reaches its first birthday a puppy is considered a mature, adult dog. Puppy Growth rate is fast compared to humans, just compare a puppy of 8 weeks to a baby of the same age.

One of the most common questions asked about a puppy’s growth and development rate refers to the eventual size of the puppy. How big will the puppy grow? How can you determine the adult size of a puppy? A young puppy is tiny and cute – everyone loves puppies! But will the puppy be suited to your environment? How much exercise will be required for a full grown dog? Will the puppy be a suitable pet for children? The breed of the puppy will determine the answers to these questions. A general response to the size and growth rate of a puppy and the adult size of a puppy is therefore not possible – it needs to be specific to the puppy’s breed.
