ADOPTED ON 11-22-14 – Ms. Gypsy, a wonderful and extremely loving female German shepherd came into our rescue after being removed from a horrible back yard breeding operation. This super little girl is only about 18 months old but has already endured at least one litter and possibly two. From her size, 55-60 pounds max, it is obvious that Gypsy was intentionally stunted to decrease kennel space needs, a practice embraced by sub quality breeding operations. You can throw out all the horrors that our girl has faced, she certainly has, choosing to embrace life with gusto and character in all aspects.
SILKY SOFT BLACK AND TAN COAT*** SPAYED*** FULLY VETTED*** GREAT WITH PEOPLE
GREAT WITH CHILDREN*** GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS*** LEASH HOUSE AND BASIC COMMAND TRAINED
Miss Gypsy is they very definition of all things German shepherd, determined, fearless, intelligent, gentle, loving, devoted and protective. This little girl will prefer sitting in your lap or at your feet looking at you with total love, all the while, simultaneously keeping an eye everything around you and preparing a protective plan. Gypsy is custom cut to be around children of all ages, absolutely glowing in their presence. At the rescue we affectionately call her mama because of the way she works with our pups, controls the interaction of the big dogs with the small dogs, circles and protects our resident 5 year old “trainer” and watches over all of our volunteers as they enter the runs, she is amazing! Gypsy gets along well with all people and all dogs but she has no problem letting all concerned know that she is to be respected. For the individual that wants the ultimate companion miss Gypsy would be a hard choice to beat.
