Transport Volunteers are animal lovers who want to help provide a way to transport rescue dogs to their various destinations.
Some examples are:
- Meet incoming transports
- Assist adopters and fosters and examine the dog
- Review the paperwork and answer any questions or refer them to the right person
- Take to vet appointments
- Pull dogs from shelters and get them to the foster home
- Take dogs to an out-of-state foster to CT’s neighboring states
- Overnight temporary foster animals
- Fosters homes
- Drive them to a rescue function and pick them up at the foster home
- Meet owner turn in applicants
 Volunteers can also:
- monitor transport
- scheduling
- assist with organizing
- assist the rescue and provide a resource for organizations to help fill the legs of transport by compiling a database of contacts
